Evelyn Peters Kyle, Illinois Alpha, was a very special member of Pi Beta Phi. Evelyn demonstrated her love for her Fraternity through her numerous volunteer roles and her treasured words. As Poet Laureate, Evelyn conveyed her pride and joy for our sisterhood through her poems, and she exemplified the values of Pi Beta Phi. Evelyn's words and actions continue to inspire generations of Pi Phis.
Evelyn and her husband, Stan, were also loyal Foundation donors and long-time members of the Foundation’s planned giving society. When Evelyn passed away in 2009, the bulk of her estate was gifted to Foundation.
The Foundation created the Evelyn Peters Kyle Society to recognize donors who support the Foundation with gifts totaling $1,000 or more each fiscal year. Like Evelyn, members of the EPK Society have a deep commitment to the future of Pi Beta Phi.
Members of the Evelyn Peters Kyle Society receive special benefits, including:
- An invitation to the May Lansfield Keller Breakfast at convention
- An invitation to Trustee receptions hosted throughout the year
- Special listing in the Foundation’s Annual Report
- A copy of the new publication, the Evelyn Peters Kyle Society Bulletin.
The Foundation is proud to honor Evelyn's memory with the Evelyn Peters Kyle Society. She left a lasting legacy.
