Every Pi Phi a Leader

Pi Beta Phi is committed to making a difference in the lives of our collegians and alumnae — and through them, society at large.  Today’s women face many challenges and demands.  The Foundation is proud to support Fraternity Leadership Development programming such as the following:

For Collegians:

  • Leading with Values®, a four-year member development program provided by the Fraternity offers collegiate members the opportunity to learn and develop leadership and life skills.
  • Healthy lifestyle programs such as GreekLifeEdu®, an online science-based course which educates our members about alcohol and its effects on the mind and body.
  • Support for the Leadership Development Consultant Program - Recent graduates work as chapter consultants: providing essential guidance to chapters; serving as mentors to encourage leadership development of members.

For Alumnae:

  • The Fraternity recognizes the need to supplement alumnae programming especially in areas without active alumnae clubs. With Foundation funding, the Fraternity will be able to create and implement event more quality alumnae programming and leadership training.

For Both:

  • Leadership Programming at Conventions & Leadership Academies
  • Leadership Development Resources such Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, “Who Moved My Cheese” and books.

Leadership Development programs are funded through the Friendship fund and through funds designated for Leadership Development. Thanks to a generous donation from one of our donors, we are also able to use fund from the following endowment:

Mary Ann Behlen Hruska Leadership Program Planning Development Endowment
In 1997, Nebraska Beta Mary Ann Behlen Hruska endowed a special leadership fund within the Pi Beta Phi Foundation. The endowment provides the Fraternity with funds for qualifying aspects of leadership education program planning and development, including but not limited to investigation of ideas, consulting with professionals in the field, Fraternity officer or staff involvement and materials necessary for implementation.
